"Hello folks!, I'm still alive and well in The U.K!"

Masashi Hara is a singer, a songwriter, a bandleader, but mostly he is a guitarist. Music moves effortlessly from his heart to his fretboard. Some people call him a guitar prodigy. The rest of us just call him fuckin' awesome.

Eleven years ago Masashi (pronounced like "mustachee" only without the "t") started the band Georgie Pie which soon became Japan's premier kick-ass blues-rock power trio, recording five discs and playing thousands of live shows. Georgie Pie toured the US twice, once to the Chicago area, once to Texas. Masashi Hara jammed onstage with Buddy Guy at the Japan Blues Carnival.

But Japan is a small market, and although Georgie Pie were enthusiastically received in blues clubs in Chicago and Texas, they were not getting the international recognition they deserve. Relentless touring and family pressures wore the band down. One sad day in the spring of 2004, Georgie Pie disbanded. But all is not lost. Seeking inspiration, Masashi moved to London. There he met drummer Tony Chick, who introduced bassist Mark Zaig. A bond was formed. Rehearsals began. New songs were written. Georgie Pie is reborn.
